Itinerary
Day 01: Bangalore / Bengaluru local sightseeing.
Upon arrival our BMC HOLIDAYS driver meets and greets you at Bangalore Airport, Railway station or any other location in Bangalore and drive to visit Bangalore Major sightseeing.
- Bangalore Palace.
- Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens: 18th century garden laid down by Hyder Ali. some centuries old trees can be found here. Peninsular Gneiss aka Lalbagh rock is one of the oldest rock formations on earth estimated 3000 million years old, preserved by Government.
- Visvesvaraya Industrial Technological Museum.
- Venkatappa Art Gallery and Museum: 2500 years old Halmidi inscription is preserved here.
- Vidhana Soudha seat of the state legislature of Karnataka a magnificent stone building.
- Iskcon temple contemporary design temple dedicated to lord Krishna.
- Bridge road, M G road Happening place by evening, you have time for shopping here.
Day 02: Bangalore to Mysore 140km Approx 3 hours Journey.
After breakfast by 8 am, check out from the hotel and Drive to Mysore, and major sightseeing in Mysore.
- Srirangapatam the river island formed by River Kaveri: Ranganatha swamy temple the Adi ranga and srirangam being the antya ranga.
- Tipu sultan summer Palace via Ganjam, with moral paintings still in good shape.
- Ranganathittu bird sanctuary: in kannada also known as Pakshi (bird) Kashi ( banaras) is the largest bird sanctuary in Karnataka, noted birds here The great stone plover, Asian openbill stork, woolly-necked stork, black-headed ibis,the painted stork, lesser whistling duck, Indian shag, stork-billed kingfisher,Oriental darter, common spoonbill, cormorant, river tern, egret, few pelicans have made Ranganathittu as their permanent home. November to June is the right season to visit this place.
- Amba Vilas palace, popularly know as Mysore Palace: The official residence of Wodeyars. this palace is the most visited tourist spot in India second only to Taj Mahal. - Mysore Zoo: officially the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Garden houses over 168 species and spread over 157 acre and its near to mysore palace.

- KRS dam (Brindavan Garden) Krishna Raja Sagara is the main source of water for both irrigation and drinking water in Mysore, Mandya and most part of the Bangalore City. Construction started in 1924 the Ruler of Mysore Kingdom Shri Krishna raja wodeyar IV and The Chief Engineer and also Diwan of Mysore Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, together built the Asia’s biggest dam then. September 15th the Birthday of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya is rightly Celebrated as Engineer’s Day. Brindavan garden lights up in evening light and music fountain garden.
Later in evening drive back to hotel for overnight stay in Mysuru.
Day 03: Mysore to Coorg 130km Approx 3 hours Journey.
After breakfast by 9am, check out from the hotel and drive to Coorg via Hunsur, Kushalnagar on the way visiting popular sightseeing places.
- Bylakuppe Golden Temple: Namdroling Monastery well known as golden temple, the little Tibet of India.
- Sera Jey Monastery:Peaceful and little known Monastery afterNamdroling Monastery.
- Kaveri nisargadhama: is river island formed by River Kaveri, you get true deep jungle experience with safety, boating in the river Kaveri, Deer park, Rabbit park,and Elephant ride is possible here. Zipline at additional cost is available here. Kaveri nisargadhama some activities may not be available during some season, Entry to River is not possible in rainy season. Entry fees Rs 10 per adult.
- Dubare Reserve Forest & Elephant Camp: is the base camp of Dasara Elephants, boating and whitewater rafting is possible here and prices additional depends on the rafting level you choose. a 7 kilometers thrilling white water Rafting Rs 700 per person. still water rafting Rs 200 per person.
- Harangi Dam: The Harangi Dam is located near Hudgur village, Somwarpet taluk in Kodagu district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The masonry dam is built across the river Harangi, a tributary of the Kaveri. The dam is located about 9 km away from the heart of Kushalnagar town.
- Chikliholi Dam: The dam/reservoiris very scenic. If you are into natural beauty, visit this place. it is beautiful and peaceful, and best of all, not crowded and clean
Day 04: Coorg Must see places.
After breakfast by 9 am drive to Coorg sightseeing:
- Abbey waterfalls soft trek in middle of coffee estate Leeds to this winsome waterfall. this is inside a private property.
- Mandalpatti Misty, Windy, Scenic place reachable only by 4WD, additional jeep charges (Optional).
- Coffee and Spices Plantation Visit: Coorg grows 40 percent of India’s coffee, coffee estates first emerged in the mid-19th century and the local economy relies heavily on it. The majority of the uninhabited lad is cultivated coffee farms., Coorg is also known for its organic farming ad organic products. Signature spices like Pepper, Elaichi, Cardamom, Cumin, Mint, Oregano, Sage, Bay Leaves, Thyme, Garlic and Rosemary is found here in bulk. Coorg is also famous for dry fruits like cashews, Raisins and Figs.
- Raja Gaddige an enchanting park, the tomb of the Raja of Gaddige is a historical structure. Built in the Indo-Saracenic style.
- Bhagamandala Triveni Sangama a temple town at three rivers confluence namely Cauvery and its tributaries Kannike and sujyothi. Visit to Sri Bhagandeshwara temple also known as Bhagandeshwara Kshetra is a famous Shiva temple.
- Tal Cauvery the river Kaveri originates from here, Sri Agastheeswarar temple, Sri Vishnu Temple and very scenic place, panoramic view of Greater Tal Cauvery National Park (entry restricted).
- Raja seat at the heart of Coorg town panoramic view sahyadri mountain range, toy Train, beautiful garden.
- Madikeri fort and Palace: Built in 17th century, the Madikeri Fort was restructured. Muddu Raja built the fort initially, the king also built a palace inside the fort aka Jaffarabad was built using European architecture. It portrays the rich cultural heritage of the Kodagu region.old fort and the palace is now used as Govt offices. (Entry is Free of cost)
- Omkareshwara temple famous Shiva Temple in Coorg, The idol has its origins in Kashi /Varanasi.
Day 05: Coorg to Ooty 240km Approx 6-7 hours Journey.
After breakfast by 9am drive to Ooty via Gundlupet, on the way visiting popular sightseeing places.
- Bandipur National Park:Jungle Jeep safari is possible (Optional), timings 6am to 9.30am. Bandipur National Park is the first national park in India to use drone to track poachers. Deers, Elephants, Bisons, Black faced money and other wild animals rome’s freely on the road itself. if you like to take jungle jeep safari for sighting Tiger, you have to check out Mysore by 5:30 am.
- Mudumalai National Park: Jungle safari is possible up to 10 am. from here two routes to Ooty one via Masinagudi and other is via Gudalur we take Gudalur route.
- Gudalur: After hectic journey of couple of hours through deep jungle in Bandipur and Mudumalai national park time for a Tea Break. and now you have entered to The Nilgiris, Where the Western ghats meets Eastern ghats.
- Needle rock view point: Needle view hill point or Soochimalai is a [place where you can literally reach for the clouds. It is just around700 mts from the road. It gives you amazing 360 degree views.
- Pykara Lake: Pykara Lake is a popular gateway that is at a distance of about 20km from ooty, in the Nigiri district of Tamil Nadu. The Paykara village, along with a beautiful reiver by the same name, also houses a dam and a power plant (seasonal) optional boat ride is possible here.
- Pykara waterfalls: The Pykara River is considered very sacred northwards, and then turns to the west after reaching the edge of the plateau.
- Pine Forest: The Pine Forest in Ooty is a major tourist, Hub. It is actually a small valley area, where several movies, songs and serials have been shot.
- Shooting point: Shooting point also known as Wenlock Downs is one of the major attractions in Ooty.

Day 06: Ooty Sightseeing.
After breakfast by 8:00 am drive to Ooty sightseeing:- The Government Botanical Garden covers an area of 22 hectares, is one of the major attractions in Ooty.
- Doddabetta Tea Factory and Chocolate Museum:Know all about tea processing, Chocolate manufacturing.
- Doddabetta peak:At an Elevation of 8652 feet, is the fourth highest peak in South India and highest in nilgiris range. panoramic 360 degree view of ooty, Mettupalayam/Coimbatore, avalanche dam, Mukurthi Peak. watch our video on youtube, link is at the bottom of this page.
- Ooty Lake & Boathouse:The Boathouse offers Paddle boats, Row boats, and Motor boats. This is an artificial lake constructed by John Sullivan, in year 1824, additional charges.
- The Government Rose Garden is the largest rose garden in India, situated on the slopes of the Elk Hill close to Ooty town.
- sim’s park: It is a beautiful gaden with very well-maintained park. It has separate Children’s zone.
- Lamb’s rock: Lamb’s Rock is a tourist spot in Coonor, on the slopes of the Nilgiri Hill. It is located at a distance from Coonoor. It has a View of the Coimbatore plains, tea estates and coffee estates.
- Dolphin’s Nose Mountain view points: A huge roc, the Dolphin’s Nose resemble a dolphin’s nose and is located at 1000 feet above sea level.
- Highfield Tea Factory: The Highfield Tea Factory is a fifty-year-old factory set up to utilize the tea plantation, it is a place that’s drenched with the smell of fresh tea that’s being brewed.
- Nilgiri Mountain Railway (Toy Train): Built in 1908 relies on its fleet of steam locomotives. UNESCO added the Nilgiri Mountain Railway as an extension to the World Heritage Site. Diesel locomotives have taken over from steam on the section between Coonoor and Udhagamandalam.
Day 07: Ooty to Madurai 285km Approx 6-7 hours Journey.
After breakfast Check out from the hotel and drive to Madurai and visit famous temples in Madurai.

- Shri Koodal Azhagar: Koodal Aḻagar Temple in Madurai, a city in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is glorified in the Naalayira Divya Prabandham, the early medieval Tamil canon of the Alvar saints from the 6th–9th centuries CE.
- Arulmigu Subramaniya Swami Temple: Arulmigu Murugan Temple, Thiruparankundram is a Tamil temple dedicated to the god Murugan at Thiruparankundram, Tamilnadu, India. It is regarded as one of the “six Abodes of Murugan”. The temple is built in rock-cut architecture and believed to have been built by the Pandyas during the 6th century.
- Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace: Thirumalai Nayak Palace is a 17th-century palace erected in 1636 CE by King Tirumala Nayaka, a king of Madurai’s Nayaka dynasty who ruled Madurai from 1623 to 1659, in the city of Madurai, India.The building, which can be seen today, was the main palace, in which the king lived.

- Villoondi Theertham Temple and Beach: This tranquil beachfront features a wide sandy expanse, clear waters & a revered freshwater spring.
- Pamban Bridge: Pamban Bridge is a railway bridge that connects the town of Mandapam in mainland India with Rameswaram on Pamban Island. Opened on 24 February 1914, it was India’s first sea bridge, and was the longest sea bridge in India until the opening of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in 2010.
- Panchamuki Hanuman Temple: Brightly painted temple to a 5-faced deity, with carved “floating stones” linked to a mythic bridge.
- Lakshmana Teertham: LakshmanaTirtham had been constructed in the loving memory of Lord Lakshman, brother of Lord Rama. In order to offer sacred prayers to lord Lakshmana
- Rama Teertham: RamaTirtham is a place of sight seeing around Rameshwaram. It is located close to two other temples and quite close to Lakshman Tirtham and Sita Tirtham.
- A. P. J Adual Kalam House: This place where Dr APJ Abdul Kalamwas born 15th October 1931. In this house his elder brother APJM Marakayar (101) years old lives here with his family.
- Kothandaramar Temple: This templelies on the road to Dhanushkodi, about 15 kms from Rameswaram. This is supposed to be over 500 years old. It is surrounded by sea on all sides
- Dhanush Kodi Light House: Dhanushkodi is an abandoned town at the south-eastern tip of Pamban Island of the state of Tamil Nadu in India. It is south-east of Pamban and is about 24 kilometres west of Talaimannar in Sri Lanka. The town was destroyed during the 1964 Rameswaram cyclone and remains uninhabited in the aftermath.
- Ram Setu/Adam’s Bridge: Adam’s Bridge, also known as Rama’s Bridge or Rama Setu, is a chain of natural limestone shoals, between Pamban Island, also known as Rameswaram Island, off the south-eastern coast of Tamil Nadu, India, and Mannar Island, off the north-western coast of Sri Lanka.

- Shree Rameshwaram Jyotirlinga Shivam Temple: Ramanathaswamy Temple(Rāmanātasvāmi Kōyil) is a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Shiva located on Rameswaram island in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.
Day 09: Rameshwaram to Kanyakumari 310km Approx 7-8 hours Journey.
After Breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Kanyakumari., Reach Kanyakumari Late evening and check into hotel and overnight stay in Kanyakumari. On the way sightseeing.- Toothukudi Beach: Thoothukudi Beachis a small beach near the Tuticorin thermal power plant. The beach is near the Harbour beach park and is a good place to spend a evening.

After Breakfast drive to Visit Major sightseeing places in Kanyakumari.- Swami Vivekanand Rock Memorial: Vivekananda Rock Memorial is a monument and popular tourist attraction in Kanyakumari, India’s southernmost tip. The memorial stands on one of the two rocks located about 500 meters off mainland of Vavathurai. It was built in 1970 in honour of Swami Vivekananda, who is said to have attained enlightenment on the rock.
