Day 01: Bangalore to Mysore 140 kms.

Upon arrival our BMC HOLIDAYS driver meets and greets you at Bangalore Airport, Railway station or any other location in Bangalore.
Drive to Mysore

  • Srirangapatna the river island formed by River Kaveri Ranganatha swamy temple the Adi ranga and srirangam being the antya ranga.
  • Ganjam a typical local village known for rose flower production and yammy gulkand made out of it.  Also you can visit the 400 years old Sri Nimishamba temple, Main Deity is Sri Nimishamba Devi along with Sri Chakra carved out of Black stone on the banks of the river ghat.
  • Tipu sultan summer Palace via Ganjam:with mural paintings still in good shape, and a Royal Garden.
  • Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary:is the largest bird sanctuary in Karnataka, on the banks of the Kaveri river. Around 169 excotic birds can be seen here. Of these, the painted stork, Asian openbill stork, common spoonbill, woolly-necked stork, black-headed ibis, lesser whistling duck, Indian shag, stork-billed kingfisher, egret, cormorant, Oriental darter, and heron The great stone plover, river tern, large flock of streak-throated swallows. Mahadevapura bird sanctuary is also near by if you are Bird watcher you can try this place also.(Optional)
  • Mysore zoo officially the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Garden houses over 168 species and spread over 157 acre and its near to Mysore palace.(Closed on Tuesdays)
  • Aqua World: Lokaranjan Aqua in Mysore is the largest underwater aquarium in India. Its tanks house over hundred of the fish and other aquatic species.
  • Sand Museum one of the rare sand art museums.

  • KRS dam (Brindava Garden) Krishna Raja Sagara is the main source of water for both irrigation and drinking water in Mysore, Mandya and most part of the Bangalore City. Construction started in 1924 the Ruler of Mysore Kingdom Shri Krishnaraja wodeyar IV and The Chief Engineer and also Diwan of Mysore Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, Together built the Asia’s biggest dam then. September 15th the Birthday of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya is rightly Celebrated as Engineer’s Day. Brindavan garden lights up in evening light and music fountain garden.

Late night drive back to hotel for overnight stay in Mysuru.

Day 02: Mysore to Ooty.

After breakfast by 9am, check out from the hotel and drive to Ooty via Gundlupet.

  • Bandipur National Park: Jungle Jeep safari is possible, timings 6am to 9.30am.  Bandipur National park is the first national park in India to use drone to track poachers. Deers, Elephants, Bisons, Black faced money and other wild animals rome’s freely on the road itself.  if you like to take jungle jeep safari for sighting Tiger, you have to check out Mysore by 5:30 am.
  • Mudumalai National Park: Jungle safari is possible up to 10 am. from here two routes to Ooty one via Masinagudi and other is via Gudalur we take Gudalur route.
  • Gudalur: After hectic journey of couple of hours through deep jungle in Bandipur and Mudumalai national park time for a Tea Break. and now you have entered to The Nilgiris,  Where the Western ghats meets Eastern ghats.
  • Needle rock view point: Needle view hill point or Soochimalai is a [place where you can literally reach for the clouds. It is just around700 mts from the road. It gives you amazing 360 degree views.
  • Pykara Lake: Pykara Lake is a popular gateway that is at a distance of about 20km from ooty, in the Nigiri district of Tamil Nadu. The Paykara village, along with a beautiful reiver by the same name, also houses a dam and a power plant (seasonal) optional boat ride is possible here.
  • Pykara waterfalls: The Pykara River is considered very sacred northwards, and then turns to the west after reaching the edge of the plateau.

After breakfast by 8:00 am drive to Ooty sightseeing:

  • Doddabetta Tea Factory and Chocolate Museum:Know all about tea processing, Chocolate manufacturing.

  • The Government Rose Garden is the largest rose garden in India, situated on the slopes of the Elk Hill close to Ooty town.
  • sim’s park: It is a beautiful gaden with very well-maintained park. It has separate Children’s zone.
  • Lamb’s rock: Lamb’s Rock is a tourist spot in Coonor, on the slopes of the Nilgiri Hill. It is located at a distance from Coonoor. It has a View of the Coimbatore plains, tea estates and coffee estates.
  • Dolphin’s Nose Mountain view points: A huge roc, the Dolphin’s Nose resemble a dolphin’s nose and is located at 1000 feet above sea level.
  • Highfield Tea Factory: The Highfield Tea Factory is a fifty-year-old factory set up to utilize the tea plantation, it is a place that’s drenched with the smell of fresh tea that’s being brewed.
  • Nilgiri Mountain Railway(Toy Train): Built in 1908 relies on its fleet of steam locomotives. UNESCO added the Nilgiri Mountain Railway as an extension to the World Heritage Site.  Diesel locomotives have taken over from steam on the section between Coonoor and Udhagamandalam.
  • Evening free for shopping. Overnight stay in Ooty.

Day 04: Ooty to Kodaikanal 6-8 hrs Journey approx.

After breakfast drive to Kodaikanal via NH 67. On the Way Coonoor, Mettupalayam, Palani.

  • Optional if you like to visit the famous Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple, Palani.
  • Dolman’s cave: A dolman or portal tomb is a type of single-chamber megalithic tomb, usually consisting of two or more upright megaliths supporting a large flat horizontal.
  • Silver Cascade Waterfall: Silver Cascade is 180 Feet high and is a result of the overflow of Kodai Lake over a steep cliff.

Day 05: Kodaikanal Must see sightseeing.

After breakfast drive to Kodaikanal local sightseeing:

  • Coaker’s Walk: Coakers walk is a man-made walking plaza, carved on the steep slopes of mountain in Kodaikanal. Constructed in 1872, By Lieutenant Coaker, the spot is christened in his name. The place stands at a distance of almost half a kilometre from Kodaikanal lake.
  • Kodaikanal Lake: Kodaikanal lake also known as Kodai Lake, is a man-made lake located in the Kodaikanal City in Dindigul district.
  • Green Valley View: Green Valley view promises tourists with mesmerising view of the surrounding area.

  • Bear Shola Falls: It is situated in dense forest. You can actually feel nature in its surrounding with chirping of birds and water falling from the mountain.
  • Dolphin Nose: A Nice view of mountain. Dolphin’s nose is a rock hanging from cliff which is shape of a dolphin’s nose.

Day 06: Kodaikanal to Back home
